Former Flying Fijians and Fiji 7's coach, Wayne Pivac is in the mix to replace Warren Gatland as Wales rugby coach in 2019.

Hurricanes rugby coach Chris Boyd is short‑listed to replace Gatland at Wales with former Chiefs mentor Dave Rennie and Pivac the other Kiwis in the mix.

Both Boyd and Rennie have coached sides to Super Rugby titles ‑ Boyd in 2016 and Rennie in 2012 and 2013.

Pivac won the Pro 12 title last season with Welsh side Scarlets, beating Munster 46‑22 in the final.

Only Pivac, who was part of Fiji's management team beat Wales in the 2007 World Cup, has international experience.

Wales Rugby Union has indicated five coaches were in the running for the job, once Gatland leaves post the 2019 World Cup.
