The people of the District of Navitilevu in Ra are all set to celebrate the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s win in Hong Kong.
Navitilevu native Ratu Kadavu Mara Vakawaletabua told FijiVillage that they will host their very own and Fiji’s Captain, Paula Dranisikula to a celebration next weekend.
Vakawaletabua says that Dranisinukula is the first from the district to dawn white Jersey and to Captain the side for Fiji’s 5th consecutive win in Hong Kong has brought them more pride.
He also says that Dranisinukula is leading the way for the youths of Navitilevu in showing that nothing is impossible and that if they are not good academically then sports can always be an alternative.
Villagers from the district of Navitilevu will gather in Navuniivi next Saturday to celebrate the occasion.
They will also be celebrating the achievements of two others in the village, Tomasi Macedru for attaining his Master's degree from USP a few weeks back and Josaia Buarua for being a Fiji Navy Captain after studying in India.
