PNG has named its 23‑man Kumuls squad for the upcoming Rugby League World Cup but selectors say it was not an easy task.

David Mead will lead the team as captain, while PNG Hunters captain and star, Asa Boas has been called up as vice‑captain.

Players competing in Australia and the UK are part of the team.
