Olympic Gold Medalist may coach Fiji atheletes

Athletics Fiji is currently in talks to secure the services of former 100m world record holder and four time Olympic medalist Maurice Greene to coach the side to the next Pacific Games.
National coach, Albert Miller said they have approached Greene and would like to rope him in.
Miller added that Greene has a lot of experience on his side even scooping Gold medals at various international events like the World Championships in the 100m and 200m.
Miller said they are currently in talks with the US Embassy however they have a fall back plan where they are also looking at securing the services of Jon Thiesen who is the current coach of one of Fiji's top athlete Milika Tuivanuavou.
Meanwhile, the core of the national team with the likes of Banuve Tabakaucoro, Ana Kaloucava and Cicilia Seavula are in camp and are expected to take part in a friendly race this weekend before breaking camp for Christmas.
The races are expected to get underway this Saturday at the TFL Stadium at 3pm.
