Pacific Rugby Limited Chairman Keni Dakuidreketi confirms that no changes will be made to the 2008 Pacific Islanders squad for their end of the year Europe Tour after Flying Fijians coach Ilivasi Tabua stood down as Head Coach earlier today.
Dakuidreketi adds the only major hiccup now is if the boys respective clubs do not release them for the Tour, and he is also adamant that injured Akapusi Qera will recover in time for the Tour.
Quddus Fielea, who has to have been the Pacific Islanders backline coach, has now been appointed as Tabua's replacement.
Two additional appointments for the Tour which starts on November 2nd were also announced.
Former Wallaby backs coach Glen Ella has been brought in to replace Fielea in his backline role and John McKee who has coached extensively in Europe and Australia has been appointed as specialist skills coach.
The Pacific Islanders will tour England, France and Italy in November.
