A new tournament and a new coach for Labasa.

This has been the story for the Babasiga Lions in the last few seasons as they have been continuously changing coaches for major soccer tournaments.

Anand Sami, Gurjit Singh, Bal Sanju Reddy and Ronil Lal have taken charge of the team in the major soccer tournaments in the last two seasons.

The Labasa Soccer Association has now gone with Johan Leewai to spearhead teams campaign in the Courts IDC.

Leewai is not new to Labasa soccer players as he has coached them previously. He says they have mapped out a plan to counter their group opponents.

Dreketi’s seven players have joined Labasa in the player transfer window and some of them are Sisa Valesua, Peni Sokia, Daniel Dass, Akeimi Ralulu, Vilikesa Sowani and Inia Vetaikula.

Vilitati Kautoga from Tavua and Siotame Kubu from Rewa have also joined Labasa.

The 2018 IDC begins this Friday at the ANZ Stadium, where Rewa will play Tavua at 1.30pm, Labasa will play Nasinu at 3.30pm, Suva will play Nadi at 6pm while Ba will play Lautoka at 8pm.
