The result avenged their loss to England in the Commonwealth Games final earlier this year.
England coach Tracy Neville made numerous changes between the second and fourth quarters.
The Roses struggled for fluency as Australia lifted their intensity.
In another round 2 match played, New Zealand defeated South Africa 61-37.
The Netball Quad Series is an annual international netball series contested by Australia, England, New Zealand and South Africa.
Australia currently lead the Quad Series points table with 4 points, New Zealand are in second place with 2 points, England is in third place with 2 points and South Africa are fourth yet to register any points.
