Springboks 7s coach, Neil Powell says the rotation of players was always on the cards.
Powell says no player was going to play in all 10 tournaments and then the Olympics adding that it was just too much rugby.
Powell says they have prepared well and the ‘new’ players, such as Stedman Gans, Cecil Afrika, Branco du Preez, Muller du Plessis and Werner Kok are raring to go.

He says they have solid experience as well and that will benefit the squad on this trip.
Players like Dylan Sage, Rosko Specman, Ruhan Nel and Seabelo Senatla have returned to their Super Rugby teams.
The Springboks 7s are pooled with Japan, England and Kenya in Hamilton.
The Hamilton 7s will be held this Saturday and Sunday.
