Natabua High and Jasper retain Lautoka zone titles

Natabua High School and Jasper Williams High School have retained their titles at the 2016 Lautoka Athletics Zone.

Jasper defended the Girls division with 44 gold, 25 silver and 9 bronze while Natabua retained the Boys title with 45 gold, 31 silver and 9 bronze.

Nineteen records were broken over the two-day competition.

Meresiana Vukici of Jasper Williams High School was the outstanding female athlete after she won three gold medals and broke a record in the 4 x 400 metres relay.

She also won gold 200 metres and 400 metres senior girls final.

Vukici is also training for the Rio Olympic Games this year.

Natabua High School’s Waisale Dausoko was awarded the most outstanding male athlete after winning three gold medals.

Dausoko won gold in the senior boys long jump, 200m and 4x100m.

The Coca Cola Games will be held from the 28th to the 30th of next month at the ANZ Stadium.
