Nasoko recovers in time for Oceania 7s

Kalione Nasoko has recovered from his injury and has been named in the Fiji Airways 7s National Men’s team to play in the Oceania 7s this weekend.

The youngster did not play in the Central Coast 7s and the Silicon Valley 7s.

Nasoko stamped his mark in last year’s Oceania 7s which earned him a spot in the national side.

The Yasawa forward will be joined by Josua Vakurinabili, Paula Dranisinukula, Apisai Domolailai, Elia Canakaivata and Apenisa  Cakaubalavu in the forwards.

The backs include Jerry Tuwai, Waisea Nacuqu, Vatemo Ravouvou, Jerry Tuwai, Samu Bale, Alekesio Vakarorogo and former 400 metres champion Batinisavu Uluiyata.

The Oceania 7s will be held at the ANZ Stadium on Friday and Saturday.

Fiji's first game will be against New Caledonia at 4.40pm Friday while their second game is against American Samoa at 7.40pm Friday at the ANZ Stadium.

The Cup quarters start at 11am Saturday, the semis start at 3pm while the Cup final is at 6.46pm Saturday.

The Fijiana will play their first game against Samoa at 11.40am Friday.
