The Nasinu soccer team will try to break their 29-year old IDC drought when the tournament kicks off at Prince Charles Park next week.
Nasinu have only managed to win the Courts IDC once which was way back in 1990 where they beat Suva 1-0 in the final.
Team Manager Shalendra Nand says although training is not going as expected because of the bad weather but a core of the players have been coming to training on a regular basis.
He also says they have been struggling with player availability because its a working day tournament and they are still trying to get leave for the players.
Nand says players such as Joseph Mishra, Leone Damudamu, Nasoni Mereke and Alzar Alam who are in Police camp, are yet to get a release from their respective work places.
The Courts IDC starts next Tuesday at Prince Charles Park where Ba will play Tavua at 1.30pm, Rewa takes on Nasinu at 3.30pm, Labasa will battle Lautoka at 6pm while hosts Nadi faces Suva at 8pm.
