The Nadroga rugby team has been crowned as the undisputed rugby champions as the Stallions defeated Nadi 17-8 in the last HFC Bank Farebrother Sullivan challenge at Lawaqa Park yesterday afternoon.
It was a hard fought battle for Nadroga as Nadi put up a good show and threw everything but the Stallions just had enough left in the tank to win the last challenge.
All the points were scored in the second half as the score was locked nil-all at half time.
Eremasi Radrodro scored a try for Nadroga in the 15th of the second half through a drive to the try line from the Nadroga forwards.
Nadi replied with a try just minutes later as fullback, Setareki Tuicuvu chased a cross kick and scored in the corner.
Ratunaisa Narukutabua scored the second try for Nadroga in the last few minutes of the game to seal the win for the Stallions.
Vodafone Fiji 7s player, Apisalome Waqatabu kicked a penalty and two conversions which were vital for Nadroga’s win.
