The Nadi soccer team is hoping to end the six year jinx and win the Courts Homecentres IDC in front of their home crowd.
The jetsetters last won the IDC in 2002 and president Jiten Kumar said they could create history come next weekend.
Kumar said Prince Charles Park has been a lucky ground for Nadi and needs their fans’ support to be crowned the kings of Fiji soccer.
He said coach Ravuama Madigi and technical adviser Lambert Sarju has been working overtime in moulding a good side for the tournament.
Nadi will go into the IDC as underdogs and have a chance of reaching the semifinals from their pool after the inclusion of Solomon islanders Alick Maemae and Moshtyn Saga.
Nadi plays Rewa in their opening pool match next Thursday.
