The Nadi Rugby Union walked away with most of the prizes up for grabs last night at the Fiji Rugby Awards Night at the Tradewinds Hotel.
Coach Iliesa Tanivula was named the 2008 coach of the year, number 8 Isei Lewaqai the Digicel Cup player of the year, Waisale Luveniyali walked away with the Colonial Cup Player of the Year and team official Sekope Tuilakeba the top Union Official.
In other awards, Ireland based winger Timoci Nagusa received two awards in the Pacific Rugby Player of the year and the Try of the Year which he scored against Samoa in the Pacific Nation Cup.
Fiji 7s captain Emosi Vucago scooped the Digicel 7s player of the year while Timoci Matanavou named as the best BP Oil 7's series player.
The last award went to South Africa based, Sireli Naqelevuki as the Flying Fijian player of the year.
Chief Guest, Australia ambassador James Batley said last night's event marked the hard work put together from officials and players to achieve the results they planned for in the start of the season.
