NZ based players to join Fiji soccer squad

New Zealand based players James Hoyt and Rinal Prasad will join the Vodafone Fiji National squad this Sunday to prepare for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against New Zealand.

Fiji Football Association’s Acting Vice President and National Team Director Tarunesh Reddy confirmed that the two were called by coach Christophe Gamel.

James Hoyt is the son of former Ba and national rep Ratu Mudu Hoyt and was part of Ba team during the OFC Champions League few seasons ago.

He is a midfielder for Tasman FC in New Zealand while, Prasad is a former national U-20 and Ba rep who plays for Franklin FC.

Fiji will play New Zealand at 1pm on the 25th of this month at Churchill Park.

Meanwhile, in a Vodafone Premier League match Suva will play Lautoka at 3pm Sunday at Ratu Cakobau Park.

The match between Dreketi and Labasa has been postponed due to unavailability of Subrail Park.
