Laidlaw says they are putting all their energy into what is in front of them and hopefully playing in front of a home crowd will give them that edge and emotional boost to get that win
New Zealand are yet to win the Hamilton 7s since it moved to Waikato from Wellington.
New Zealand played the finals of the Dubai and Cape Town 7s.
They currently lead the series points table with South Africa with 41 points.
The Hamilton 7s starts this Saturday.
