The Brumbies' three opponents this season - the Reds, Rebels and Highlanders have been contacted and no cases of mumps have been reported so far.

This week, the Brumbies' hopes of upsetting Super Rugby frontrunners the Chiefs took a blow, with the squad hit by an outbreak of mumps.

Testing this week confirmed cases within the Brumbies playing and team staff, and Rugby Australia and Sanzaar have stepped in.

After consultation with Australian Capital Territory Health, only players and staff who were completely well travelled to Hamilton for their round four clash tonight.

The Crusaders beat the Highlanders 33-13 in Christchurch last night.

In other games this weekend, the Rebels meet the Sharks at 3.45pm today, the Chiefs and the Brumbies clash at 6.15pm today and Reds face the Sunwolves at 8.15 tonight.

The Stormers will take on the Jaguares at 1.05am tomorrow while the Bulls and Blues face off at 3.15am tomorrow.
