Melbourne Storm celebrates after NRL Grand Final win against Cowboys

The Melbourne Storm have send departing halfback Cooper Cronk out with an NRL premiership after beating the North Queensland Cowboys 34‑6 in the NRL Grand Final last night.

The best team in the NRL showed their class over North Queensland in front of almost 80,000 fans.

The Victorians scored six tries to one in a ruthless display as they clinched their third premiership success and first since 2012.

Storm captain Cameron Smith says this makes up for last season’s devastating grand final loss to the Cronulla Sharks.

Smith adds they were never really threatened after leading 18‑0 at half time.

Meanwhile the streets of Bagasau erupted last night when Josh Addor-Carr scored the first try for the Storm.

The family and friends of Fiji born winger Suliasi Vunivalu gathered in numbers at their residence in Bagasau to show their support for Suli.
