Action from the Fiji vs Scotland match.

The big improvements in the Vodafone Flying Fijians defensive structure has been praised by coach John McKee as they shift their focus towards the Pacific Nations Cup and World Cup qualifiers next month.

McKee believes that defence coach Peter Ryan has changed the structure which was evident during their 27-22 victory over Scotland last weekend.

McKee says that there were some excellent scramble defence close to Fiji’s try line along with very good tackling techniques.

The national side are the defending champion of the Pacific Nations Cup.

McKee will assemble his squad again tomorrow before announcing his travelling squad on Saturday to fly out to Nuku’alofa.

Fiji will face Tonga in their first Pacific Nations Cup match next Saturday before travelling to Apia to face Samoa on July 15th.

The Pacific Nations Cup will start this Saturday with Tonga hosting Samoa at 2pm.
