English Premier League leaders, Manchester City hammered Crystal Palace 5-nil this morning.

City were only top alphabetically before kick‑off, but now lead neighbours Manchester United on goal difference after continuing a prolific start to the new campaign that has seen them score 22 goals in their past five matches.

In other matches, Manchester United beat Southhampton 1-nil, Chelsea hammered Stoke 4-nil, Liverpool edged Leicester 3-2 and Tottenham beat West Ham 3-2.
