Manchester City players celebrate a goal against FC Basel

Manchester City took a giant step towards the UEFA Champions League quarter‑finals as they comfortably beat FC Basel 4-0 this morning.

Pep Guardiola's side took command of the last‑16 first‑leg tie within half an hour in Switzerland as Ilkay Gundogan(Goon-du-yan), Bernardo Silva and Sergio Aguero all scored within a nine‑minute period.

In another match this morning, Juventus and Tottenham played out a 2-all draw.
