Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s coach, Gareth Baber says their main focus now is to treat every game as a final after being grouped with Dubai champions South Africa, USA and Japan in the Cape Town 7s.
Speaking from South Africa, Baber says it wasn’t good enough for the team to receive 6 yellow cards last week and he has reminded the players about the impact it has on their results.
He further says that it is the responsibility of each player to take calculated steps on the field to avoid the yellow card offences.
The Fiji Men’s 7s Team will open their Cape Town 7s campaign against USA at 6.35am Saturday then face South Africa at 12.51am on Sunday before meeting Japan in their final pool match at 6.35am.
The Cup quarterfinal is scheduled for 10.18pm Sunday, semifinals start at 1.39am Monday and the final is scheduled for 5.56am.
