Blitzboks 7s utility back-liner, Branco du Preez says their main focus in the Hamilton 7s is taking one game at a time and making sure that through their good performance they lay the foundation for their upcoming matches.
Du Preez says their focus is their first match against Japan who has been improving in recent tournaments.
He says past experiences have shown that if they stick to what they want to achieve and trust in their structures, the result will look after itself.
Du Preez says the team also knows that both tournaments, Hamilton and Sydney 7s, will not have any quarterfinals and this does not change their attitude as they have always aim to top their pool.
Meanwhile, the Blitzboks first pool match is against Japan at 12.03pm this Saturday, then they will take on England at 5.30pm the same day and will play Kenya at 12.03pm this Sunday in their last pool.
The Hamilton 7s will be held this Saturday and Sunday.
