Atma Maharaj has been re-elected as the President of Weightlifting Fiji.
He was unanimously re-elected at Weightlifting Fiji’s Annual General Meeting.
In a statement, Weightlifting Fiji says Maharaj did not attend the Annual General Meeting due to family obligations.
It says the board includes Della Shaw-Elder who was voted in as the Secretary General, Sikeli Tuinamuana who remains the Treasurer, Henry Elder continues as a committee member while Chris Yee takes up the role of Vice President.
Weightlifting Fiji says five new members were elected to the committee and they are Josaia Tuinamata as Vice President, Sera Vakaloloma and Abigail Erikson join as committee members, Melaia Duruwai takes up the Assistant Secretary’s role and Timothy Vakuruivalu is the Athletes Rep.
Weightlifting Fiji has also thanked Secretary-General Ritesh Ratiram for his contribution to all of Weightlifting Fiji’s efforts in the last 3 years.
