All Blacks loose forward Luke Jacobson has been ruled out of the Rugby World Cup due to ongoing concussion issues.
He will be replaced by Shannon Frizell.
22-year-old Jacobson has been withdrawn from the tournament after suffering a delayed onset of concussion.
All Blacks coach Steve Hansen says that Jacobson had not presented with any signs of concussion after the Tonga match last Saturday, but developed symptoms after the first training session this week.
He says after discussing this latest episode with Jacobson, as well as their medical team, the decision has been made to withdraw him from the tournament.
The All Blacks will face South Africa at 9.45pm next Saturday.
