Real Madrid’s mid-field maestro, Luka Modric has been named as the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year.
He beat former team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo and Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah for the award.
Modric helped Madrid win their third Champions League title in a row last season and also helping Croatia reach the final of the FIFA World Cup in July.
He won the best player of the World Cup as well.
Modric received 313 points in the voting to finish ahead of three‑time winner Ronaldo who received 223 points.
