The Super Rugby clash between the Chiefs and the Crusaders is a historic one for the villagers of Nasukamai, Ra.
Chiefs loose forward Michael Leitch who has maternal links to Nasukamai village will be bringing some of his family members to witness the match on Friday.
The 27-year-old is out of rugby for at least 10 weeks after dislocating his thumb in the Chiefs Super Rugby win over the Rebels last month.
Leitch says it’s good to be back home.
He is excited to watch the Fijians in the Crusaders team.
The match this weekend is the top of the table clash in the New Zealand conference with the Crusaders having 10 wins and 45 points from their last 12 games while the Chiefs have 9 wins from the last 12 games with 42 points.
The Chiefs will host the Crusaders at 7.35pm this Friday at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
