The Lautoka soccer team is well positioned to win the Vodafone Premier League if the side can win its two remaining matches against Suva and Rewa.

The Blues lead the points table with 25 points and a win or draw against Suva this Sunday will confirm their place in next season’s OFC Champions League.

Ba who is second with 19 points has three matches remaining which will be against Rewa, Labasa and Dreketi and they will be hosting all three matches.

The Men in Black will finish with 28 points if they secure maximum points in all matches and will have to hope Lautoka drops points in its remaining matches for Ba to win this year’s league title.

Ba will still have a good chance of finishing second on the points table if they fail to finish first.

Suva is third on the table with 19 points and has matches remaining against Lautoka and Nadi. They will need to win both matches and hope Ba and Lautoka lose all their matches for them to win the league title.

In this week’s VPL matches, Ba will play Rewa at 3pm this Saturday at Govind Park.

At 3pm Sunday, Suva will host Lautoka will Nadi will face Tavua at Prince Charles Park.
