Lasaqa gunning to win gold for Wainibuka Junior Secondary School at 2018 Coke Games

Long distance runner, Adi Camari Lasaqa of Wainibuka Junior Secondary School will be gunning to win gold in the Open Girls 1500 and 3000 metres in next week’s Coca-Cola Games.

Wainibuka Junior Secondary School Principal, Merewalesi Tuiloma is confident their long-distance runner has what it takes after she won the Open Girls 1500 metres and 3000 metres in the Tailevu Zone.

Tuiloma adds the form 4 student from Nalidi village, Ra has been training from last year with athletes that took part in the mini Pacific Games.

Lasaqa won gold in last year’s Coca-Cola Games in the Open girls 3000 metres while this year she will be competing in the same event along with the 1500 metres.

Coca‑Cola Games which will be held next week Thursday to Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
