The Labasa soccer team has won the Inkk Mobile BOG title after they beat Lautoka 1-0 at Churchill Park.
Labasa has won the title after 22 years.
Siotame Kubu was the hero for the team as he scored the winning goal in the 35th minute of the second half after he flicked a Ilisoni Lolaivalu cross over the Lautoka goalkeeper.
Labasa goalkeeper Akuila Mateisuva made three crucial saves in the first half to keep the scores locked at nil all.
The victory was also a special one for Labasa captain Taniela Waqa who won his first BOG title.
Waqa has been playing soccer since 1996 but he had never won a BOG title.
Siotame Kubu who scored the winning has dedicated the win to his son who will turn a year older next week.
Labasa get $17,000 in prize money while Lautoka gets $5,000.
