Krishna close to announcing next move after most successful year of his career

Fiji Soccer Team Captain, Roy Krishna won the Player of the Year Award at the Wellington Phoenix’s end‑of‑season awards last night.

Krishna also won Players' Player of the Year and the club's 'Golden Boot' award for scoring 18 goals last season.

The 31‑year‑old was instrumental in leading the Phoenix to the playoffs for the first time since 2014.

The Fiji‑born star is off contract and hasn't signed a new deal with the club yet, but Krishna told Newshub he is very close to making an announcement.

Earlier this month, Krishna was officially crowned the best player in the A‑League.

Krishna won the Johnny Warren Medal, the honour for the competition's best player.

Krishna also took out the league's Golden Boot Award.
