Round one disappointment has left a bitter taste in Brisbane City's mouth after Western Force ran away to a 47‑29 victory.
Newly appointed captain Adam Korczyk is confident the side can bounce back against a winning Drua outfit in Fiji on Saturday.
Korczyk says defense is a key focus area for them this week.
This week all eyes will be on Quade Cooper in the Brisbane City side.
Rugby.com.au reports that fans got the pretty standard Quade Cooper game last weekend. Plenty of highlights interlaced with exactly the sort of errors that raise questions about his abilities to perform consistently at the professional levels of the game.
Cooper scored his first ever NRC try, played a major role in a couple of others, and at times was more than a handful for the Western Force defence.
But he also spoiled a near certain try with an audacious round‑the‑back pass to Moses Sorovi when a standard pass would’ve done the trick.
The Drua lead the NRC points table with 5 points after the first round and will play Brisbane City at 3pm this Saturday at Churchill Park.
