The King of Tonga Tupou VI will attend the Rugby League World Cup semi‑final match between Mate Ma’a Tonga and England at Mount Smart Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand this evening.
Matangi Tonga reports the King is leaving Tonga on a Royal visit to Europe, with a stopover in Auckland.
Invitations were extended by the Chairman of the Rugby League World Cup 2017, Dr. George Peponis Oam, and the Rugby League World Cup CEO Andrew Hill, as well as the President of the Tonga National Rugby League Semisi Sika.
Tonga will meet England at 6 tonight.
