Fiji Bati’s Viliame Kikau, Tyrone Phillips and Waqa Blake each scored a try to have a stake in the Penrith Panthers 36-4 thrashing over the Warriors last night.
The Warriors started as favourites against a Panthers side missing eight first‑ grade regulars last night, but were pummelled out of the contest in what was their second biggest defeat this year.
Penrith were missing star halves James Maloney and Nathan Cleary, as well as utility Tyrone Peachey, who were on Origin duty.
The Warriors’ defence crumbled under the pressure, missing a staggering 63 tackles in the six tries‑to‑one thumping.
It was the first time the Warriors had lost back‑to‑back games all season, and leaves them in danger of dropping as low as seventh by the end of the round.
In another match, the Storm defeated the Dragons 52-30.
Tonight the Bulldogs take on the Raiders at 9.35pm while the Titans meet the Broncos at 6.10pm tomorrow.
