After being named in the 25 member squad for the Fiji Pearls, Mereani Tuwai the wife of Fiji 7s player Jerry Tuwai continues to fight to make the final team for the Fiji Pearls to the Netball World Cup in England in July.
The mother of two showcased power and fitness in her performance during the team trials last Saturday and impressed Coach, Vicki Wilson and Netball Fiji officials.
She has been included in the squad that will be playing test matches against the Silver Ferns, Singapore, Samoa and the New Zealand men’s netball team.

Wilson says that she is still working with the players to see which positions will best suit them adding that she is looking at place Tuwai in midcourt.
The Fiji Pearls will travel to Singapore for a test match in April before traveling to Auckland for test matches against the Silver Ferns, Samoa and the New Zealand Men’s Netball team in June.
The Fiji Pearls are in Pool C in the Netball World Cup with Jamaica, South Africa and Trinidad and Tobago.
The Netball World Cup will be held from the 12th to the 21st of July in Liverpool, England.
