Jerry Tuwai has been nominated alongside USA’s Perry Baker and Australia’s Ben O’Donnell for the HSBC World Rugby Men’s Player of the Year award.
This is the second year Tuwai has been nominated.
Tuwai led the Fiji Airways Men’s National Sevens team to win five titles in the 2017/2018 season.
The team won four tournaments in a row from Vancouver to London.
He has also scored 25 tries and earned himself a place in the HSBC Dream Team of the season.
World Rugby Chairman, Bill Beaumont says these three nominees have been the heart of success story, inspiring a new generation of fans and players with their skill and athleticism.
The winner will be announced at the World Rugby awards ceremony in November.
