Australian Men’s 7s captain Ed Jenkins is excited to help lead the side into its biggest year yet.
With the announcement of Andy Friend as the side’s new head coach, the team has its first permanent coach since August last year.
While he has had little to do with Friend through his career, Jenkins said he and the squad were looking forward to working with him.
Jenkins says it would be great to have Friend on board for the Olympic season and beyond.
Meanwhile, the Wellington 7's will be played on the 30th and 31st of this month and Australia is pooled with Portugal, Canada and Kenya.
