Jasper Williams High School athletics captain Mereseini Naidau says they are trying out a different tactic to defend their title in the Coca Cola Games this year.
Naidau who won gold in the 3,000m and 1,500m events last year in the Coca Cola Games has shifted her focus to other events.
She said the coaches have asked her to try out the 400m, 800m and 4x400m in the lead up to the Coke Games.
Naidau won gold in her 400m, 800m and 4x400m events at the Lautoka Zone meet.
Team Manager Antonio Raboiliku said another outstanding athlete is Intermediate girls runner, Meresiana Vukici who will run in the 400 and 800 metres.
Jasper Williams High School is the defending champion of the girl's division after edging out rivals Adi Cakobau School and Saint Joseph's Secondary School last year.
The Coca Cola Games will be held on the 24th and 25th of this month at the ANZ Stadium.
