Flying Fijians Hooker Ratu Vere Vugakoto says it is up to the coach to decide who will be the first choice hooker for the side but adds they are always pushing each other in training.

Vugakoto is vying for a starting berth at hooker along with Mesulame Dolokoto and Sam Matavesi.

He says that he needs to work on his fitness and keep working hard towards the build up to the match against Tonga and the opening pool match against the Wallabies.

The 22-year-old who is also the youngest in the squad says that he had never imagined he would be part of the squad to the World Cup and adds that this is a result of his hard work.

The Flying Fijians will face Tonga in their final build up match next Saturday at 4.30pm at Eden Park before taking on the Wallabies on the 21st of next month at 4.45pm in their first pool match of the Rugby World Cup.

Fiji is pooled with Australia, Wales, Georgia and Uruguay .

The Rugby World Cup will be held from the 20th of next month to the 2nd of November.
