Ireland made it a St Patrick's Day to remember by beating England 24‑15 at Twickenham last night to seal their third Six Nations Grand Slam.
England's Elliot Daly scored a try in each half and fellow wing Jonny May went over with the last play of the game but by then, Ireland fans everywhere were already celebrating.
Joe Schmidt’s men saved the best for last as they scored three tries to take England apart, comprehensively underlining their quality.
England’s discipline hurt them again but this win was all about Ireland’s quality as they wrote their names into Irish rugby history.
They have shown a repeated ability to score just before half‑time in this Grand Slam success and they did it again as Jacob Stockdale produced a sensational solo score to break the record for most tries in a Six Nations by a single player.
England’s tries were scored by Elliot Daly and Johny May while Ireland’s tries were scored by Garry Ringrose, CJ Stander and Jacob Stockdale.
Meanwhile, Wales edged France 14‑13 while Scotland beat Italy 29- 27.
