Ireland has defeated the world champions and number 1 ranked team in the world, All Blacks 16-9 in an Autumn International Test in Dublin.
Ireland’s, Jacob Stockdale scored the only try of the match in the 48th minute latching on to his own chipped kick down the left wing after winning the foot race against Aaron Smith.
It was a move straight off the training ground and Stockdale was tackled before reaching the line, but managed to wriggle over.
The All Blacks were penalised a number of times and committed basic errors throughout as Ireland who are ranked 2nd in World Rugby put immense pressure on the World Champions.
The All Blacks were exposed on numerous occasions and also had to play catch up rugby.
Ireland’s other points came from Johnny Sexton who kicked three penalties and a conversion.
Beauden Barrett kicked two penalties and a drop goal for New Zealand.
The All Blacks previous loss was against South Africa in the Rugby Championship two months ago.
Meanwhile, a match is in progress where France is leading Argentina 11-10.
