Iran top seed to compete in local Badminton championship
As a build-up to the Pacific Games, Iran’s number 1, Kaveh Mehrabi will be amongst some top competitors that will be taking part in this week’s Badminton Championship.

Fiji’s men’s team will be led by National Co Captain Shivneil Chand and making a comeback to international competition is Afatareki McKenzie.

The women’s defending champion will not be returning, leaving the field open for competition between Fiji, New Caledonia and New Zealand.

Fiji’s challenge will be led by National Captain Andrea Whiteside.

The championship begins on Friday at 9am at the Yat Sen Hall in Suva with the final on Sunday.
