New Zealand 7s coach, Sir Gordon Tietjens says that Reiko Ioane is the quickest player in his squad and has unbelievable potential.
Tietjens says Reiko’s older brother, Akira is strong in contact and very, very quick, and adds they are both tall and give extra added height.
Tietjens says he is excited to see them both play in Rio adding they are both outstanding athletes potentially going on to become All Blacks.
Akira and Reiko Ioane will be the first brother pairing to represent New Zealand in Rugby Sevens at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
New Zealand is pooled with Kenya, Great Britain and Japan.
