Wainibuka Junior Secondary School who are well known for their long distance athletes will have their interhouse at 8.30am this Friday with the open girls and boys 3000m at the school grounds.
Defending champions, Degei house will be boasting long distant athlete, Camari Adilasaqa who will be taking part in the open girls 3000m while Atama Vunibola of Tagimocia House will be taking part in the open boys 3000m.
Both athletes won gold in last year’s open girls and boys 3000m Coca-Cola Games.
Wainibuka Junior Secondary School Principal, Merewalesi Tuiloma says that all the athletes are working very hard and they are hoping to see a wider range of talent in school at this Friday’s interhouse.
She adds that the coaches are also working to strengthen their short distance as well as their field athletes.
Meanwhile, the RSMS interhouse will continue today with the Junior girls 1500m at 2.45pm at the school grounds.
The finals of the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 4x100m, 4x400m, and all the field events of the RSMS athletics interhouse will be held tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium.
