Wellington's economy is expected to get a few bonus points of its own when the Hurricanes host the Sharks, and possibly two more Super Rugby matches as the tournament climaxes.
The Hurricanes play the wildcard Sharks at 7.35pm this Saturday.
The Super Rugby quarter‑final is expected to boost the fortunes of the capital's cafes, bars, restaurants and hotels, at a time when business is usually sluggish.
Looking at other teams, Flying Fijians winger Nemani Nadolo will miss out the Crusaders clash against the Lions while Setareki Tamanivalu will also miss out as the Chiefs line up to face the Stormers.
The Brumbies will host the Highlanders at 8.05pm Friday, the Lions will host the Crusaders at 2.30am Sunday while the Stormers face the Chiefs at 5am.
