The Hurricanes won't head into this weekend's Super Rugby semifinal against the Crusaders with any fear.
In the past, certain sides have travelled to Christchurch refusing to even speak the Crusaders' name in an effort not to give the back‑to‑back champions any recognition.
Hurricanes Captain Dane Coles said they won't use such tactics, preferring to face the Crusaders as equals.
The Crusaders have never lost a Super Rugby playoff game at home in 22 attempts, while they are also unbeaten in their previous 22 games at home this season.
The first semifinal will see the Jaguares host the Brumbies at 11.05am Saturday while the Hurricanes will take on the Crusaders in the second semifinal at 7.35pm Saturday.
