Australian skipper Lewis Holland, ex-Force speedster Rod Davies and Wallaby flanker Sean McMahon have been named in the 13 member team for the Australian Men’s 7s Team to play in Cape Town this weekend.
McMahon’s return to the Aussie team after a five-year absence has captured headlines but Holland’s arrival will be a decisive boost for the Australians title hopes.
Davies will return to the Australian squad for only his second World Series tournament, after an impressing performance in Canada last year before injuring his ankle. He will also add more blistering speed to a squad already containing Trae Williams.
The Australian men’s team has not won a round of the World Series since the Sydney Sevens in January, 2018.
Australia is pooled with Kenya, Ireland and Samoa.
The Cape Town 7s will begins this Saturday till next Monday.
