The Highlanders are set to prove they have what it takes against the Chiefs tonight.
Coach Aaron Mauger has made some changes to the team, and is hoping to have enough ball in the right areas this time around.
For the first rugby game of the weekend, the Highlanders are in Hamilton to meet the Chiefs for the 7th round of the Super Rugby and are hoping to pick up the pace after their loss against the Hurricanes (29‑12) last week.
While the Highlanders are currently in 6th place on the log, the Chiefs are still on a winning streak following their matches against the Sunwolves, Bulls and Blues as they are currently sitting comfortably in 5th place on the log.
The Chiefs suffered another injury with the news of lock Dominic Bird who will undergo surgery and therefor miss the rest of the Super Rugby season.
The team already lost Mitchell Brown and Fin Hoeata for the remainder of the competition, while Michael Allardice is also on the sideline with a groin injury.
Luckily, Chiefs back and co‑captain Charlie Ngatai is set to return to the bench since he sustained a knee injury against the Crusaders last month.
