Gospel High School is aiming for a good finish at this year’s Suva Zone 2 Athletics meet.
Gospel High School Head of PEMAC Department Semi Underwood told Fijivillage they will be having another trial before finalising their team for the zone.
Underwood says they are aiming to collect most of their medals from the field events where they have their strength this year.
He says that they will also be following a different strategy to try to attain medals from the tract events as well.
Meanwhile, St Luke won this year’s Gospel High School inter-house competition with 33 gold, 22 silver and 30 bronze.
Last year’s champion St John came in 2nd with St Matthew in third place while St Mark came in fourth.
The Best Female Athlete is Likukula Tawake who won gold in the Senior Girls 4´100 metres, 400 metres and 4´400 metres.
Rupeni Vulimaimereke is the Best Male Athlete.
Vulimaimereke won the Senior Boys 1500 metres, 800 metres and 4´400 metres.
Jeremiah Khan and Verenaisi Racule won the Senior Division blue ribbon events.
The Suva Zone 2 meet will be held on the 22nd of next month.
