The last surviving member of the All Blacks' mullet movement feels abandoned and betrayed by his team‑mates.
Jack Goodhue's Mississippi Mud Flap remains intact but the other members of the movement – Sam Cane, Brodie Retallick, Beauden and Jordie Barrett, and Liam Squire – have long since done away with their 1980s hairdos.
The pain was evident for the All Blacks midfielder yesterday when he was asked if he felt as though he had been deserted by his team‑mates.
Goodhue says betrayed is the better word to use.
The All Blacks face South Africa at 7:35pm tomorrow while Australia takes on Argentina at 9.45pm.
